12th June

Dubai Some sunshine Temp 42c
Today we were in Dubai until 12.30pm when we sailed for Mykonos, 8 sea days. Yesterday we tried to get some stamps in the terminal but they had sold out so this morning Betty went down at 8am before breakfast to get them in case they ran out again. We returned to the terminal after breakfast to see if there was a shuttle bus to a local shopping centre because we would like to visit a chemist to top up our supplies however only one was running and there was no guarantee we could be back by sailing time so we stayed in the terminal for a while to try to use the Wi-Fi in there however as most of the ship was trying the service was hopeless. We just settled for buying a few trinkets to use up the UAE money we had left. This afternoon I had another go at carpet bowls on deck 5 and Betty went with Bev & Ian to see the movie “Mr Banks”  By the way Bev was very pleased with the dentist that the ship organised who fixed her filling, he did a wonderful job.  Our entertainment tonight was Paul Hughes UKs # 1 Swing Vocalist who sings in the style of Frank Sinatra. However, Frank he was not, Betty thought he was not too bad, I liked the music he sang but his voice was not quite up to it.
