Sea Day Sunny with cloud later Temp 23c Rough Sea.
Lots of white caps this morning on the sea and quite windy
outside. After breakfast today we had to go to the Wheelhouse bar for UK
Immigration Inspection so, with cruise card in one hand and our passport in the
other we queued to wait for our turn. It all worked very smoothly and we were
out of there in no time. This will speed things up on Saturday when we get to
Southampton. Afterward we got a take-a-way coffee and Betty went back to the
cabin to sort out some of her photos and I went to another lecture by Marlin
Darrah this time on Cuba. It was again an enjoyable show and as I had already
bought the DVD is good to see some of it on the big screen. Some of you may get
the opportunity to see the full version sometime. At 11.30am. the entire Cruise
Critic mob assembled in the Atrium for a group photo and then we all went to
lunch together to say goodbye to the ones who are leaving us in Southampton.
The Chef baked a special cake for the occasion. After lunch Bev, Ian, Betty
& I went to the” iPad get together” where the Customer Services Director
gave a talk on the basics of iPads. We all learned something new and look
forward to his next talk which will be for more advanced users. It is a formal
night tonight so everyone looks very smart. Showtime for us tonight was “The
Huber Marionettes” in the Princess Theatre. What a show! What this guy did with
marionettes was amazing. It was a show that we would probably only see on a
cruise. True to the Captain’s weather forecast the wind dropped off later today
and the sea is now much calmer as we journey through the Bay of Biscay. Photos tomorrow of Lisbon.
