Another sea day and the weather is starting to warm up, we are
now in the high 20s with smooth seas.
Penang was the port talk today. We are having so many one
after another because after Singapore we will have 4 more ports in a row with
no time for port talks. We had decided to do our own thing in Penang and we have
now found out that there is a free bus which tours the town passing by quite a
number of the tourist sites so we will be taking that.
Today in the Horizon Court buffet there was a Café de Paris
Buffet which we thought would be crepes etc. it turned out just to be pates,
maybe next time. We did go early because at 12.15pm there was an advanced photo
seminar. We had been to the first one which was quite good so we did not want
to miss this one. It was just as good as the first one and we now know more about
white balance, exposure and apertures.
More Ballroom @ Sea
(are you bored yet) this time the Rhumba. This afternoon we both did our laps
of the deck, Betty 3 and me 4 but we both needed a coffee afterwards or should
I say a Bex and a lie down. (None Aussies may not know what I am talking
about).
All day we have had land on our port side and sometimes
islands on the starboard side I thought by now we would have left Oz but its
still there what a large country it is. About 3.30pm the Reef Pilot got off as
we left the Barrier Reef Marine Park and headed for the Torres Strait. Tonight
we start what will be many time changes as we put our watches back 1 hour.
After another lovely dinner with our new friends we went to the
Princess Theatre to see Jacques Renay who looks like and sings like Tom Jones,
we have seen him before on another cruise and he told the same jokes but his
singing was still good.
